Raisin Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. seedless raisins
2 1/4 c. milk
3/4 c. brown sugar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Rinse and drain raisins.
Scald 2 cups of milk in top of double boiler.
Mix sugar with cornstarch.
Moisten with 1/4 cup milk.
Add egg yolks and blend thoroughly.
Pour into hot milk and cook, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
Add raisins and butter and beat well.
Remove from heat.
Add flavoring and stir to blend.
Pour into baked pastry shell and top with meringue, made of egg whites plus 4 tablespoons sugar.
