Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. liquid shortening
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. soda*
2 c. applesauce*
3/4 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. flour
3 c. pecans
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice or cloves

Preparation

*Put soda in applesauce and let turn dark.
