Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. cucumbers, sliced
8 small onions, sliced thin
1 1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. celery seed
5 c. sugar
2 green bell peppers, cut in rings
1/2 c. salt
3 1/2 c. cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation

Mix together cucumbers, bell pepper and onions; soak for 3 hours with 1/2 cup salt.
Mix together remaining ingredients. Drain cucumbers and add to
liquid
mixture.
Bring
to a boil, but do not boil.
Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
