Grandma'S Teacakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    zest from 1 medium orange
Preparation
    Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed with electric mixer.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Combine flour, baking powder and soda.
    Add to creamed mix alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla and zest.
    Drop dough by tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned; cool.
    Makes 6 dozen.
