My Favorite Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 c. sifted White Lily flour (all-purpose)
1 c. sifted White Lily flour (self-rising)
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.
Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream sugar, eggs, margarine and shortening until fluffy.
Blend in lemon extract.
Add flour and milk, alternately beating after each addition.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 60 to 65 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
Allow to cool before serving.
Serve plain, sprinkle with confectioners sugar or top with your favorite glaze.
