Sweet Pickle Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pt. cucumbers
    4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. celery seed
    3 3/4 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. salt
    4 tsp. turmeric
    3/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Select fresh cucumbers and cut into sticks.
    Pour boiling water over sticks and let stand 12 to 14 hours or overnight. Drain and pack into jars.
    Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed, mustard seed and turmeric.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Pour hot mixture over cucumbers in jar.
    Process in water bath for 5 minutes for pints or 10 minutes for quarts.
