Roses' Baked Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, diced
    1 small onion, minced
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. cottage cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 (8 oz.) box macaroni, cooked al dente
    1/2 c. fine bread crumbs
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Melt the butter or margarine and stir in the flour over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until roux is lightly browned.
    Remove from heat and stir in the tomatoes, onion, egg, cottage cheese, salt and pepper.
    Pour over the macaroni.
    Stir and pour into a casserole dish.
    Top with bread crumbs.
    Bake for about 30 minutes.
