Mamaw'S Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. cornmeal (self-rising)
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. grated cheese
    1 c. cream-style corn
    3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients. Stir in corn, grated cheese, onions and peppers. Blend well. Stir in buttermilk, eggs and oil. Bake in greased 10 x 13 pan or iron skillet at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until firm and brown. Serve hot or cold.
