Sugared Pecans - cooking recipe

2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
4 c. pecans
1 stick butter
Preparation

Beat 2 egg whites (at room temperature) until foamy. Add 1 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time. Beat until stiff. Fold in 4 cups pecans. Melt 1 stick butter in bottom of oblong pan. Spread pecan mixture over this. Bake at 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Spread over wax paper to cool.
