Apple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter
    2 beaten egg yolks
    4 medium apples or 4 c. canned apples
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 slightly beaten egg white
Preparation
    Combine the 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until crumbs are size of peas. Stir in egg yolks. Press half in 9 X 13 pan. Add apple mixture. Add remaining crumb mixture on top. Brush lightly with egg white. Bake 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes. Drizzle with powdered sugar icing, if desired.
