Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    25 to 30 cucumbers
    2 large green peppers
    8 large onions
    1/2 c. salt
    5 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    5 c. sugar
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and slice very thin.
    Chop onions and peppers. Combine with salt and let stand 3 hours.
    Drain.
    Combine remaining ingredients in large kettle; bring to a boil.
    Add cucumbers and heat through, but do not boil.
    Pack in sterilized hot jars while still hot.
