Aunt Lois' Microwave Hot Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can cut wax beans, drained
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
    1 onion, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Fry bacon in skillet until crisp; crumble bacon and reserve. Combine bacon drippings, sugar and cornstarch in glass baking dish; mix well.
    Stir in vinegar, salt and red pepper.
    Microwave on High for 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened.
    Add beans and onion; mix well.
    Microwave for 6 minutes, stirring once.
    Let stand for 10 minutes.
    Sprinkle with bacon to serve.
    Yield:
    15 servings.
