Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 1/2 c. milk
    4 egg yolks (save whites)
    3 or 4 bananas
    vanilla wafers
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, flour, milk and egg yolks slowly, stirring constantly. When thickened to pudding add vanilla.
    Layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas and pudding.
    Beat egg whites for topping (do not beat in plastic bowl).
    Add a little sugar and cream of tartar to whites and beat until it forms peaks.
    Top pudding and brown in 350\u00b0 oven until lightly brown.
