Farfelle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. farfelle (bow tie pasta)
    4 tsp. olive oil
    3 medium carrots, julienned
    9 scallions, cut diagonally into 1 1/2-inch pieces
    40 fresh sage leaves, stems removed
    salt to taste
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    3 Tbsp. freshly grated cheese (such as Jack or soy Mozzarella; optional)
Preparation
    Cook pasta in boiling water according to package directions.
