Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick oleo
1/2 pt. sour cream or 1 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. vegetable shortening (Crisco oil)
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 small can coconut (Angel Flake)
Preparation

Cream oleo and shortening.
Add sugar and beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well.
Combine flour and soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
Add coconut and nuts.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour batter into three greased tin cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
