Parker House Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 yeast cake
1 c. scalded milk
1/4 c. warm water (to dissolve yeast)
1 heaping Tbsp. Crisco
1 1/4 rounded Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
5 1/2 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
Place Crisco, sugar and salt in dish and pour warm milk over; mix.
Add beaten egg and yeast to this mixture; then add enough flour to make a cake batter dough. Let rise about double; then roll in more flour and make rolls and let rise again (about 2 hours).
Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0.
Place surplus dough in refrigerator.
