Tennessee Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients
- 
                            5 c. self-rising flour
 
1 tsp. soda
3 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. shortening
Preparation
- 
                            Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening.
 
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add buttermilk and water to dry ingredients. Mix and roll into a ball. Cover tightly and place in refrigerator. When ready to bake, dip in melted butter and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
