Cherry Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 c. stewed apples
1 c. nuts
1 c. cherries
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
3 egg whites

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add alternately the flour and milk in which soda is dissolved. Add unbeaten egg whites one at a time, beating the mixture well. Then add apples, nuts, cherries and spices. Cook at 275\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until done.
