Thumbprint Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 egg whites, lightly beaten
    1/2 c. nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Preparation
    Combine butter, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla, salt and flour. Roll into 1-inch balls.
    Dip in egg whites.
    Roll in nuts.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Make thumbprint.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Fill with your favorite filling (jams, jellies, decorator frostings, etc.).
