Ingredients

1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
3 c. cooked beets
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan.
Stir in vinegar and water and boil 5 minutes.
Add beets, sliced or diced, to hot mixture and allow to stand for 30 minutes.
Just before serving, bring to a boil and add butter.
