Peanut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. soda
    2 2/3 c. flour
    2 c. ground salted peanuts
    2 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Combine milk and vinegar and let stand for 15 minutes.
    Beat shortening until fluffy.
    Gradually add sugar, beating thoroughly after each addition.
    Continue beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
    Add soda to soured milk and stir. Then add to sugar mixture.
    Mix well.
    Add the flour gradually, stirring after each addition, until well blended.
    Add peanuts and lemon flavoring and stir.
