Diabetic Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour (plain)
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. liquid shortening
    1/2 c. sugar substitute
    2/3 c. chopped dates
    2/3 c. raisins
    2/3 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. chopped figs
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. unsweetened fruit juice, skim milk or coffee
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients well and bake in loaf pan for 45 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    Yields 18 slices.
    Each serving equals: 1 fat; 1 bread and 1/2 fruit.
