Hamburger Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 to 15 large cucumbers, sliced
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Sprinkle salt over cucumbers and let soak 2 to 3 hours. Make brine
    of
    sugar,
    water, vinegar and turmeric.
    Squeeze cucumbers and put in solution.
    Just bring to a boil then put into jars and seal.
