Soft Ginger Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. butter
    2 1/2 c. flour
    3 eggs
    2 1/2 Tbsp. ginger
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 lemon (juice and rind)
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix butter and sugar.
    Rub together and add spices and lemon, eggs, then molasses, 1/2 cup soda and water.
    Stir quickly and add sifted flour last.
    Bake in greased pan in 350\u00b0 oven.
