Picnic Bean Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean sliced bacon
    1 (12 oz.) can pork and beans (do not drain)
    1 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    2 (15 oz.) cans white navy beans (do not drain)
    1/2 c. barbecue sauce
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Crumble and set aside.
    Brown ground beef; drain off fat and set aside.
    Mix brown sugar, onion soup mix and barbecue sauce.
    Combine all remaining ingredients, including bacon.
    Pour into 2 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Can be served hot or at room temperature. Serves 8 to 10.
