Light Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. cold water
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
4 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar and shortening.
Add water, then vanilla.
Put baking powder in flour and sift into mixture.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.
Grease and flour pans.
Put into cold oven and bake very slowly.
