Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Add to remaining milk the 1/4 teaspoon soda.
    Fold into mixture.
