Taylor'S Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9-inch baked pastry shell
1 1/2 qt. fresh strawberries, washed, hulled and patted dry with paper towels
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. margarine
red food coloring (optional)
Preparation

Place one quart fresh strawberries in cooled pastry shell. Crush remaining berries in medium saucepan.
Add sugar, cornstarch and water, blending well.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir 2 minutes.
Add margarine and few drops of red food coloring, if desired.
Stir until well-blended.
Strain mixture and cool.
