Scrapple - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hot pork sausage
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Cut sausage into 4 sections. Cook in 2 cups water until well done.
    Remove meat and put aside.
    Pour liquid into bowl and let grease rise to top.
    Skim grease off.
    Grind or break up meat into 1 cup reserved liquid.
    Bring to boil remaining liquid and enough water to make 2 cups.
    Stir constantly and add 1 cup cornmeal. Reduce heat and stir for 5 minutes or until very thick.
    Add meat mixture, salt and pepper.
    Mix and pour into greased loaf pan. Cool, uncovered, in fridge.
    Turn onto plate, slice 1/2-inch thick and fry until crisp.
