Golden Glow Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 doz. medium size onions
    2 green peppers
    2 sweet red peppers
    6 qt. ripe cucumbers
    2 tsp. turmeric
    1 qt. vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1/4 c. mustard seed
    30 whole cloves
    1/2 c. canning salt
Preparation
    Peel and remove seeds from cukes.
    Cut all vegetables in small chunks.
    Cover all with salt and let stand 3 hours.
    Drain and add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook slowly until vegetables are tender and transparent.
    Pack in hot jars and seal.
