Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. thinly sliced onions
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. diced and cooked potatoes
    1 c. diced and cooked carrots
    1 c. diced and cooked celery
    1 c. diced and cooked ham
    2 c. fresh corn or 1 can creamed corn
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 1/2 c. milk
    3/4 Tbsp. salt
    3 dashes of pepper
Preparation
    In large pan, cook onions until tender, but not brown.
    Mix all ingredients.
    Cook on low heat until near boiling.
    Stir often to prevent sticking.
    Improves with standing.
    Better the next day.
