Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. grated onion
    1 c. long grain rice
    2 c. stock or water
    salt and pepper to taste
    bouquet garni (parsley, bay leaves and thyme)
Preparation
    Melt butter in a heavy casserole dish.
    Cook onion in butter over moderate high heat until transparent.
    Add the rice, stirring to coat the grains with butter.
    Pour in the stock or water. Add salt and pepper. Bring to boil over high heat.
    Add the seasonings to the rice.
    Cover.
    Bake in a preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Fluff with fork and serve.
    Makes 6 servings.
