Buttermilk Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecans
Preparation

In a heavy pan, stir in sugar, salt and buttermilk.
Cook to 234\u00b0 or soft ball stage, stirring as necessary to keep from sticking (about 10 minutes).
Remove from heat and add oleo and vanilla.
(Do not stir.)
Cool 30 minutes.
Quickly stir in pecans and beat for 3 minutes until slightly thickened and drop on wax paper.
