Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plain flour (White Lily brand makes lighter cake)
    2 sticks Blue Bonnet margarine
    1 c. milk
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    2 tsp. vanilla (may use 1 tsp. vanilla and another favorite flavor, lemon, etc.)
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening together in mixer until smooth. Add eggs, 1 at a time.
    Add sugar, one cup at a time, and add slowly.
    Add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing in 1/2 cup milk as needed.
    After mixture is all mixed, add another 1/2 cup milk with 1 teaspoon baking powder dissolved into milk.
    Add vanilla.
    Bake in large pan, 9 x 12-inch character pans.
    (Recipe may be cut in half if a large cake is not desired.)
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, depending how deep pan is.
    A 9 x 12-inch takes only 1 hour.
    Check at 50 minutes.
