Mexican Hot Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2 qt. or 2 (No. 2 1/2) cans tomatoes
    onions and peppers to suit
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice (ground)
    1/2 tsp. cloves (ground)
    1 tsp. red hot pepper seed or flakes
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Simmer together over low heat approximately 4 hours.
