Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes, cut into thin slices to measure about 4 c.
    1 medium onion, chopped to measure about 1/2 c.
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz.)
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
    paprika
Preparation
    Cook and stir onions in butter until tender.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in milk and 1 1/2 cups of cheese.
    Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Boil and stir one minute.
    Place potatoes in ungreased casserole.
    Pour cheese sauce over potatoes.
    Cook, uncovered at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes or at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
