Grandma Titrud'S Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    boiling water
    2/3 c. molasses
    white sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. warm water
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 well beaten eggs
Preparation
    Place 1/2 cup shortening in a 1 cup measure and fill cup with boiling water.
    Place 2/3 cup molasses in a 1 cup measure and fill cup with white sugar.
    Dissolve soda in warm water.
    Mix flour, ginger, cloves and cinnamon.
    Add to mixture.
    Last, add the well beaten eggs.
    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan in a very quick oven (375\u00b0) for 20 to 25 minutes, until done.
