Raspberry-Almond Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 c. sliced almonds
    1 (10 oz.) jar raspberry preserves
Preparation
    Beat butter about 2 minutes or until creamy.
    Gradually add sugar,
    beating
    for
    5
    to
    7 minutes.
    Add eggs one at a time. Stir
    in
    almond extract.
    Combine flour, baking powder and
    salt; add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Mix at low speed, just until blended.
