Decorah Cream Porridge(Decorah Rommegrot) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 pt. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar (or less)
Preparation
    Heat cream to boiling point.
    Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Sift flour into cream, stirring constantly.
    Let simmer until butter comes to top.
    Skim off the butter and add boiling hot milk, sugar and salt.
    Let simmer a few minutes.
    Serve hot with sugar and cinnamon and the melted butter which was drawn off earlier (should be about 1/4 cup).
