Cajun Style Drumsticks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 chicken drumsticks
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1/4 c. cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
1 1/2 tsp. dried whole oregano
1 1/2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. red pepper
Preparation

Place chicken in a shallow dish; pour buttermilk over top. Cover and chill for 8 hours.
Place butter in a shallow dish; set aside.
Combine flour, cornmeal and seasonings in a plastic bag. Drain chicken; roll in butter and place in bag, 1 or 2 pieces at a time.
Close bag securely and shake until well coated.
Arrange chicken on a rack placed over a roasting pan; drizzle with any remaining butter.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Turn chicken; reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 30 or 35 minutes or until done. Yield:
4 servings.
