Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. softened oleo
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 c. oatmeal
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    1 can Eagle Brand milk
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1/2 tsp. salt
    nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix together the first 9 ingredients; set aside.
    Melt over double boiler the Eagle Brand milk, chocolate chips, vanilla, oleo and salt.
    Add nuts, if desired.
    Spread 2/3 of first mixture on greased jelly roll pan.
    Spread chocolate mixture over this.
    Dot with remaining first mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
