Diana'S Yeast Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 c. milk, scalded
    6 c. sifted flour (about)
Preparation
    Scald milk and add butter.
    Set aside to cool.
    In a large bowl, mix first three ingredients.
    Let stand five minutes.
    When milk mixture is cooled to lukewarm, add to yeast.
    Add salt and 3 cups of flour.
    Beat well.
    Add enough more flour to make soft dough.
    Place remaining flour on board.
    Turn out dough on floured board and knead.
    Place dough in a large greased bowl.
    Grease top of dough.
    Let raise until double.
    Punch down.
    Cut dough into halves, round ends, cover and let stand 10 minutes.
    Put into greased bread pans.
    Let raise until double.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes longer.
