Short Cut Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Bisquick
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. melted butter or margarine
    2/3 c. light cream
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients with a fork to moisten and then beat vigorously for about 45 seconds.
    Spread dough in a greased 9 x 9-inch pan, pulling up the edges slightly.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
    Remove from pan and let cool for about 5 minutes. Split into 2 layers with serrated knife and fill with the fresh fruit of your choice.
