El Dorado Beef Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 c. sliced ripe olives
    1 c. dairy sour cream
    1 c. small curd cottage cheese
    3 to 4 canned chilies, seeded and chopped
    1 pkg. crisp tortilla chips
    2 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Preparation
    Cook beef in a cold skillet on medium-high heat.
    Saute in its own fat until crumbly and pink color is gone.
    Drain off excess fat.
    Add onion, garlic salt, tomato sauce and olives to beef. Combine sour cream, cottage cheese and chilies.
    Crush tortilla chips slightly.
    Place half the chips on bottom of a well-greased 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Add half the meat mixture, cover with half the sour cream mixture and sprinkle with half the grated cheese.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake in moderate 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes until bubbly.
