Applesauce Spice Muffins With Oatmeal - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine or butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten light
1/2 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. unsweetened applesauce

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs.
Mix thoroughly.
Add oatmeal and raisins.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add alternately with applesauce to creamed mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
Makes one dozen.
Lightly oil muffin pan with cooking oil.
