Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef chuck, cut in very thin strips
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 clove minced garlic
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. water
    1 green pepper, cut in 1 inch pieces
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    2 tomatoes, cut in eighths
Preparation
    Brown beef in hot oil; add garlic and cook until yellow.
    Add soy sauce, salt and 1/4 cup water; cook 45 minutes.
    Add vegetables; cook 10 minutes.
    Stir in cornstarch blended with 1 cup water.
    Add tomatoes and cook 5 minutes.
    Serve over hot fluffy rice.
    Yield:
    4 servings.
