Johnny Appleseed Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. hot applesauce
2 tsp. soda

Preparation

Sift together
all dry ingredients.
Add dates, raisins and margarine to flour mixture.
Add applesauce with soda; mix well and
add
to flour mixture.
Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan or large tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
