Luscious Apricot Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. dried apricots
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Rinse apricots.
    Cover with water and boil 10 minutes.
    Drain and cool; chop.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Mix butter, granulated sugar and 1 cup flour until crumbly.
    Pack into pan.
    Bake 25 minutes.
    Sift 1/3 cup flour, baking powder and salt.
