Strawberry Sherbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. strawberries, mashed
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine strawberries and sugar; beat well with electric mixer. Stir in buttermilk.
    Pour into an 8-inch square pan.
    Freeze mixture until slushy, then beat well with mixer.
    Freeze until firm.
    This is delicious on a cream cheese pound cake.
