Broccoli Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 heads broccoli
    4 cans Progresso hearty chicken broth soup
    2 onions, chopped
    16 oz. Velveeta
    1 pt. half and half
    1 pt. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    cornstarch
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a large pot, saute onions in butter or margarine until done. Add chicken broth to onions.
    Cut the very lower ends off broccoli stalks and discard.
    Place broccoli in pot and cook until done. Smoosh broccoli until it has broken up in small pieces.
    Add milk and half and half.
    Cook approximately 45 minutes more, stirring occasionally.
    Add Velveeta, cook until melted, stirring more. Thicken with cornstarch and water mixed together (approximately 2 tablespoons cornstarch).
    Serve hot.
